Arrive, breathe, discover the Harz: Our apartments are located by the spa park in Braunlage-Hohegeiß. Start with a walk right outside your door, or take your time on a longer hike through forests and meadows and to the viewpoints around the village. One special trail leads through the history of the region: the Harzer Grenzweg runs right past Hohegeiß and combines nature with traces of the division of Germany.
Hiking & Nature
There are plenty of options for a day in the mountains. Explore the hiking trails in the Harz National Park, take the Wurmberg cable car up to the summit or head for the Brocken. From Schierke you can hike up it or ride the Brocken Railway through the Harz mountain landscape.

Culture & History
Culture and history are not far away either. In Wernigerode, the half-timbered streets and the castle invite you to stroll. At the Cistercian Museum Walkenried Abbey you can learn about the history of the monastery and the UNESCO World Heritage in the Harz. The Samson Mine in Sankt Andreasberg shows on guided tours how mining shaped the region.

Trips & Adventures
If you would like to experience the Harz from a different perspective, you can walk the Treetop Walkway in Bad Harzburg or explore the Einhorn Cave near Scharzfeld on a guided tour. The suspension bridge at the Rappbode Dam is also a great option for an eventful day trip.

Winter
In winter, when snow conditions allow, the cross-country trails and the toboggan run in Hohegeiß invite you to enjoy the outdoors. Current information is available from the Ski and Toboggan Centre Hohegeiß. And after every outing, your apartment is waiting for you – for a relaxing evening and new plans for tomorrow.
